John H. Mramba, Kenyan – (Chairperson )

Mr. John Mramba is the chairperson of the Board of Trustees at the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) Pension Fund  and the Vice Chair of the Council of the Flying Doctors  Society of Africa. He is the former chairperson  of the Board of Directors at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC); Communication  Concepts Limited ; Mobil Oil Kenya Community Programme; University of Nairobi -School of Journalism  Alumni Association and the Public Relations Society of  Kenya (PRSK). Mr. Mramba  has also served on the other boards including  the Board of the Central  Bank of Kenya (CBK) and the St. Lukes Hospital  Kaloleni in Mombasa.

He is  the former Secretary General of the Federation of African Public Relations Associations (IPRA). Mr. Mramba also served as the Managing Director / CEO of Communications  Concepts Limited (CCL) ; Director of information and Communication at the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) ; the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS)  and the international Council of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE)

Prof. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, Kenyan

Prof. PLO Lumumba is the former Director of the Kenya School of Law. He is also the former Director/Chief Executive  of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.  A prominent lawyer and an advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Tanzania, Prof. Lumumba has practised law for the last 24 years. He has also taught law at the University of Nairobi for 17 years. Between  2001 – 2005, he was  the Secretary / CEO of the Constitution of Kenya Review Commission. A prolific orator, Prof. Lumumba has  presented numerous papers  in conferences , seminars and workshops in Kenya and around the world.

He has been a consultant  for international organizations , Governments ministries , associations and companies. An author of ten books , he has published widely including a variety of articles on diverse  topics. Prof. Lumumba is a holder of PhD in Law from the University of Ghent in Belgium and Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Law from the University of Nairobi. He is a member of Law Society  of Kenya , International Commission of Jurist. International  Bar Association and  the institute of Commonwealth Studies. In Community Service , he serves in the Boards of Kalasha Trust and Kenya Institute of Administration. He is a founder of the Center  for Environmental Policy and Law in Africa  and the PLO – Lumumba  Foundation . Prof Lumumba was the recipient of the 2008 Martin Luther King Africa Salute  to Greatnesss Award  by the Martin Luther King Jnr. Africa Foundation.

Joyce Waiyaki, Kenyan

Ms. Joyce Waiyaki is a marketing practitioner with over 30 years experience. Currently she runs her own firm , Ramata Insurance  Agency  as the principal officer, which provides advice  to individuals  and institutions on general  and the life insurance , pension , unit trusts and off-shore  respectively.

She has served as the president of Rotary Club Nairobi North , past trustee of Palmhouse Foundation , past chairperson of PCEA church of the torch. Joyce  is the founder member  of the Kenya Women Investment  Company , board of management chair – Musa Gitau Girls Boarding School  and executive board member -Center for Justice for Crime Against Humanity.

Olive D. Luena, Tanzanian

Ms. Olive Luena is the Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania Gatsby Trust; a charitable Trust whose mandate is to  alleviate  poverty through supporting Small and Medium Sized Enterprises ( SMEs). She is a Trustee of the Presidential Trust Fund,  the Community Development Trust Fund in Tanzania  and a board member  of a Foundation for Civil Society ( Tanzania). Luena is the founder of Tanzania Association of NGOs  (TANGO). She is also a Trustee  of Transform Africa; a UK based organization  that works in the best  possible way to influence  a lasting change through out Africa. In January 2009, she was appointed to serve as a member of the Bretton Woods Committee.

Ambassador Matiya Lubega, Ugandan

Ambassador Matiya Lubega is the former Executive Director of the Kabaka Foundation. He has also served as the Chairman of Nonperforming Assets Trust. He has served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an Ambassador. Amb. Lubega is a former United Nations Development Program (UNDP) representative to Nigeria and The Gambia.
