Stephen Irungu – Ag. Executive Director/Programmes Manager
Stephen Irungu is the Ag. Executive Director/ Programmes Manager at Ufadhili Trust. He has over 10 years experience in Agribusiness support, economic empowerment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)/sustainability work. He is also the team leader for Ufadhili’s Responsible Business/CSR Work. He has worked on youth entrepreneurship building the capacities of the youths in business skills and also with farmer’s associations supporting business development in agribusiness. Previously, Irungu coordinated the Coffee Value Chain Projects that sought to enhance returns to small holder farmers as a business and eventually transforming them from growers to business entities through value addition. He holds a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship, Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness Management and is a master trainer in Value Chain Development.
Maina Wambugu – Programme Officer – Advocacy, Communication and Governance
Maina Wambugu coordinates Ufadhili‘s Advocacy, Communication and Governance Work. He has 10 years experience in advocacy, communication and governance work. He is working on a project that aims at enhancing the sustainability of horticultural sector in East and Southern Africa regions. He has also worked on different projects at Ufadhili Trust. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Communication from the University of Nairobi – Kenya. Maina also holds a Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations. Currently, he is pursuing a Masters Degrees in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Nairobi.
