Stephene irungu – Programmes manager / CSR & Agribusiness Advisor
Stephene Irungu is the Programmes Manager / Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Agribusiness Advisor at Ufadhili Trust. He has extensive experience working as a Business Advisor in Economic Empowerment Initiative / CSR Issues for over 10 years. Currently he is coordinating Ufadhili Responsible Business / Corporate Social Responsibility Work. He has worked on youth entrepreneurship building the capacities of the youths in business skills and also with farmer’s associations supporting business development in agribusiness . Irungu also coordinates the Coffee Value Chain Projects that seeks to enhance returns to small holder farmers as a business and eventually transforming them from growers to business entities through value addition . He holds a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship, Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness Management and is a master trainer in Value Chain Development.
Agina Rashid – Coordinator , Lake Victoria Rights Project / Value Chain Advisor
Agina Rashid is the coordinator of the Lake Victoria Rights Project. He has eight years experience working on Economic Development targeting rural setups. He supports the Lake Victoria communities to engage in Alternative Income Generating Activities (IGA) rather than depending on fishing as the main source of income . His work involves working with communities to identify innovative business plans. Agina supports Ufadhili Trust in developing training programs. He supports the communities in building entrepreneurial attitudes, business developments skills and market linkages. He has Masters Degree in Education (Administration). He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Bachelor of Mathematics / Computer and is also a master trainer in Values Chain Development.
Maina Wambugu – Advocacy, Governance and Communication
Maina Wambugu coordinates Ufadhili‘s Advocacy, Governance and Communication Work. He has over seven years’ experience in communication , media , advocacy and governance work. Currently he is coordinating Ufadhili ‘s devolution work being implemented
Maina also holds a Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations . Currently pursuing a Masters Degrees in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Nairobi
Elizabeth Mutua – Programme Assistant / ICT Officer
Elizabeth Mutua is the Programme Assistant , Advocacy , Governance and Communication Programme. She also coordinate the information Communication Technology (ICT) work. She has five year’s experience as a support engineer and three years in project coordination work. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (IT) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). She also holds a Diploma and Higher Diploma in Information Technology from the Kenya School of Monetary Studies. She has several certificates in community development work.
Evelyn Kemunto – Finance and Administration
Evelyn Kemunto is in charge of Administration and Finance departments. She has over 10 years experience in administration and finance work. Evelyn holds a diploma in Business Administration from Kisii University and a Certificate in Finance Management . Currently she is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business Management at the KCA
Peter Hihu – Accountant
Peter Hihu is an accountant with over eight years’ experience in finance, accounting and auditing. He has extensive experience in book keeping , bank reconciliation , data entry and auditing. He has worked for public , private and non-profit sectors in Kenya. Peter is a Certified Public Accountant , and he is registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
Stephen Tenge – Office Assistant
Stephen Tenge has worked for Ufadhili Trust for over 10 years. He has extensive experience in administration and office support work. He has a certificate in Information Technology . In addition he is a qualified and experienced driver. Tenge works with both administration and pro gramme teams
